About Me

My photo
Where do I begin? I guess At the beginning! I live in beautiful Tasmania, Australia with my wonderful hubby, Matthew and our four angels (part time devils) Isaac, Reuben, Isabella, and Charlotte. Currently I'm a stay-at-home mum and I absolutely love that. Nothing else compares. I'm also studying the Master of Teaching part-time and I'm serving as the relief society president of our ward. I love being outside, especially in summer. I love big windows & lots of light. I love swimming, running and mowing the lawn! my favourite vegetable is carrots (or potatoes if mum's baked them) and I love fresh fruit salad. My most favourite thing to do is spend time with my precious family.

Winter Woolies

A few years ago I bought myself a cosy beanie with ear flaps at the Vic market in melbourne. I love it and so do the girls, they are always 'stealing' it so I decided it was time for me to get out the knitting needles and make them one of their own. They turned out so much better than I expected. I just made it up as I went!!! I lined them with polar fleece (so they're not itchy to wear) and blanket stitched around the outside. After these pics were taken Charlotte insisted on a pompom so one has been added and it looks rather CUTE! Not too bad for a novice knitter. Give it a go if you feel inclined, it was much easier than I thought. There are heaps of free patterns on the internet. Bella's is the same wool in different colours. These cost me about $6.00 for both and took only one night each to make. Definitely worth it. I'll post some pics of Bella in hers when I get the chance!

I just recently learnt how to knit, but I really don't think I could do this. You make it seem so much easier than it is! :)
